The Single Perception Trick To Regain Control Of Your Mind
And how to reframe any bad situation positively
We’ve all had days when we truly thought it was the end of the world.
That there was no way we’d ever make it out alive.
In hindsight, it sounds foolish and kinda dumb!
I mean, we’re still living and breathing, but at the moment it’s so easy to lose sight, even as an adult.
It's because the instinct when faced with any problem is to wallow in the present negative emotion.
I know that when I’m stressed, my mind gets cluttered with things that have gone wrong or people I’ve let down.
And if I’m not careful, the emotions could swallow me whole.
But I’ve realized something that gave me back the steering wheel to my life.
And I’m ever so happy to share it with you.
When you contemplate the “what ifs” or “what could’ve been…”
And mourn the losses in your life that can never be changed…
You lose control over your most powerful mental asset:
THE POWER OF PERCEPTION.
It lowers you to a much sadder, downright dangerous vibration.
Suddenly, everything once beautiful and joyful seems gloomy and depressing.
Even the music of the birds chirping can be warped into a solemn funeral march.
It’s a very dark place to be emotionally.
But what good comes out of absorbing all the anger and grief?
What good comes out of a day where you’re feeling like it’s you vs the world?
Lemme tell you from firsthand experience…
Absolutely nothing.
What DOES come out of this mindset is a perpetual feedback look of despair.
And trust me, it’s the BAD kind of feedback loop.
Not cool if you ask me!
So how can you overcome this?
The single BEST way is by practicing:
EMOTIONAL AWARENESS.
And separating yourself from your feelings.
Almost like an out-of-body experience.
Think about it this way:
Next time you feel a powerful wave of negativity and you remember this idea…
You won’t BECOME the emotion, but rather acknowledge that the emotion is HAPPENING to you instead of FUSING with it.
Instead of BEING ONE with your feelings, you’ll be aware that these feelings are occurring TO you as an EXTERNAL force.
Understand that feelings are, after all, fleeting and unpredictable.
And once you can split yourself from the moment and observe your emotions like a third party…
You’ll regain your ability to control your PERCEPTION.
And consciously DECIDE how to act rather than acting on subjectivity.
PLUS, this practice will help you:
Develop more gratitude
Obtain more peace of mind
Improve your relationships
Advance in your career
And other significant benefits that’ll elevate your vibrations and quality of life.
As airy-fairy as this sounds, it’s 100% achievable to anyone who commits to the process of developing this skill.
